When you send an absence notification, the kindergarten teacher will receive a different kind of message, separate from other message types. The teacher can also acknowledge the notification as read, in which case the parent will receive a notification of the acknowledgment made by the teacher.

1) Select "Report an absence" in the parent's main view of the TinyApp mobile application

2) select a topic for absence

3) Write a short optional description of the absence and send

You can view sent absence notifications in the "Notifications" section of the "Messages" tab. The orange ball and the orange frame of the message describe a message that has not yet been acknowledged by the teacher.
